Alex trained and worked professionally as a interdisciplinary artist before becoming a freelance writer and director.

She currently works as a resident director, acting coach and workshop facilitator at drama schools.

Her debut theatrical show DOOMSCROLL TILL I DIE (Pleasance Theatre), had sold out shows and was nominated for the Charlie Hartill Award before making its Edinburgh Fringe debut in 2026 in asssociation with Pleasance Theatre.

She is a recipient of the BBC Carleton Hobbs Bursary Award and after working extensively for BBC Radio 4 and continuing to be a working voice over actor, she is head of Radio and Voiceover Acting at East 15 Acting School.

As a writer she is currently developing PYRATES - a new pirate folk musical based on the true story of Anne Bonny and Mary Read - to be co-produced by Denmark Street Productions and Pleasance Theatre.

She recently directed and edited her first music video, delight delicassi, for musician Milan Sangar.
